Florida Public Guardianship Pooled Special Needs Trust

Florida Public Guardianship Pooled Trust

The Florida Public Guardianship Pooled Trust is a special type of trust that allows individual wards to become (or remain) financially eligible for public assistance, yet preserving any other resources in Trust to be used for the supplemental needs, not otherwise provided for by the public benefits. While a Pooled Trust is not appropriate for every client, the benefits are significant. Understanding the basic structure and related benefits of the Florida Public Guardianship Pooled Trust is necessary in order to ascertain those situations in which the Trust would be appropriate.
